   City tour and afternoon safari

   Pickup is between 08:30 and 09:30, depending on the season and your hotel's location. Your guide picks you up at your hotel, and you start at Jumeirah Mosque, where you learn about Islamic civilisation in the Middle Ages, Islamic architecture and its decoration.

   Drive along Jumeirah Beach, the most luxurious part of Dubai, past the Burj Al Arab hotel, with a photo stop outside. Continue to Sheikh Zayed Road, also called 'Little Manhattan', and see the Dubai World Trade Center and the Emirates Towers.

   Drive along Zabeel Road, past the palace of Sheikh Muhammad Ben Rashid, the ruler of Dubai, with a quick photo stop, and past Sheikh Rashid Palace. Visit the Dubai Museum at Fahidi Fort to learn about the history and culture of Dubai and the Emirati people, then stop for photos at the creek.

   In the afternoon, pickup is between 14:30 and 15:00, depending on the season and your hotel's location. Your guide collects you from your hotel and drives you out of the city to the desert, where you leave the coach for the vehicle that takes you dune bashing: about 20 minutes of thrilling driving over the yellow sand dunes.

   On the way to the camp, stop for photos at sunset. At the camp, ride a camel.

   Dinner is a barbecue on the sand in an open-air tent, with a belly dance show to oriental music. A little later come the Tanura show and other dances, while you enjoy Arabian coffee.

   At the end of the day, drive back to your hotel in Dubai for the night.

   Dhow dinner cruise on Dubai Creek

   Pickup is between 18:30 and 19:30, depending on the season and your hotel's location.

   Spend the evening on a dinner cruise on Dubai Creek aboard a dhow, a traditional boat. Dinner offers Western, Indian and Arabian dishes, with vegetarian food, unlimited soft drinks, water and Arabian coffee.

   After dinner, enjoy dance shows and music on deck, with views of the creek.

   At the end of the evening, you are transferred back to your hotel for the night.

   Tag 3

   Abu Dhabi day trip

   Pickup is between 08:00 and 08:30, depending on the season and your hotel's location. Meet your guide at your hotel and drive about 170 km south-west of Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

   Your first stop is the grand mosque of Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. On its façade, see the classical and modern lines of traditional Islamic architecture and decoration.

   Inside, see the marble artwork and the woven, decorated carpets.

   Continue to Al Husn Palace, also known as the house of documentation and research, as it holds a large store of the state's local documents.

   Drive along the Corniche, past the capital's main landmarks, to the Emirates Palace hotel, one of the most luxurious hotels in Asia and the Middle East and a favourite place for royal weddings and celebrities. Stop there for photos.

   Stop at one of the city's malls for some quick shopping, then drive back to Dubai.
